The director of the Library of the Royal Spanish Academy, Rosa Arbolí, supervised the work of packing the original autograph manuscript by Antonio García Gutiérrez "El Trovador" who, since last July 5th until the 20th of this month , has been exhibited at the Museum of Chiclana, within the sample "García Gutiérrez, the triumph of romanticism. 1813-2013 ", organized by the City of Chiclana, on the Occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of poet and playwright chiclanero.

In this regard it is noteworthy that the arrival of this text to Chiclana has meant that for the first time, this original, written in 1836 and kept in the library of the Royal Spanish Academy, come out of that entity, and thus would become in the cornerstone on which turned this commemorative exhibition, composed of 175 pieces.

In total, about five thousand people, of which more than a thousand students from Secondary school and teaching centers Chiclana, have gone through the three rooms fitted the occasion of this exhibition. "Man", where together with other 68 parts manuscript was said and showed to the public the way the young chiclanero who wanted to be a poet at all costs, his trip to Madrid, where he became the first Spanish literary figure among others documents setting out, "The Poet", in which 55 pieces showing the season premiere of "El Trovador" and the choice of the poet as a member of the Royal Spanish Academy, as well as eight archaeological pieces from the National Archaeological Museum, which reflect the acquisitions made by the institution during the twelve years he directed García Gutiérrez.

Meanwhile, the third of the rooms, called "The Legacy", featured 53 pieces, including most notably the series of portraits by photographer Jean Laurent, between 1864 and 1870, which were for the first time in the city , the latest editions of their works and the tributes paid to him in 1934 and 1984 in Chiclana, on the fiftieth anniversary and the centenary of his death, photographs and other documentation relating to the transfer of his remains to the Pantheon of Illustrious in 1974.
