Mission

The permanent exhibit at the Museo de Chiclana was conceived to encompass the city’s history from the earliest settlements to the present day, with references to History in the broadest sense and also to the everyday life of those who came before us.

The main contents of the Permanent Exhibit of the Museum make it a place for historical exploration and reflection, a place concerned about the conservation of our patrimony and the projects that seek to find a home here with us. For memory, far from being stored away in mothballs, also looks toward the future.

Conservation, dissemination, and exploration are the purposes of many of the complementary activities the Museum hosts in its permanent and temporary exhibit halls, the educational room and the auditorium. The city is a constant reference for the museum.
