The Chiclana Museum continues to enrich its collection dedicated to the painter Agustín Segura thanks to the donation of a work created in the spring of 1951.
The piece was presented by Florentino Fernández de Retana Lobo at a ceremony attended by the municipal delegate for Culture, Susana Rivas, and the museum’s director, Jesús Romero.
It is a portrait of Chelo Cebreiros Corral, the donor’s mother-in-law and mother of his wife, Cristina Álvarez Cebreiros, who passed away in 2024 and had expressed her wish that the work become part of an institution that would ensure its preservation and promotion.
The Chiclana Museum is grateful for this generous gesture, which allows it to add a piece of special artistic and sentimental value to its collection, thereby helping to preserve and share Agustín Segura’s legacy with future generations.
