The municipal delegate of Culture, Susana Rivas, has inaugurated the exhibition 'Science Letters' in the Museum of Chiclana. An act in which she has been accompanied by the director of the Museum, Jesus Romero. This exhibition will be open to the public until April 28 and in it the visitor can enjoy books that talk about science.

Facsimile editions and some originals of works that were at the time decisive in the evolution of science tell us about astrology and astronomy, cosmology and geography, alchemy and chemistry, geometry and music, zoology and botany, anatomy -human or not- and medicine or pharmacopoeia, architecture and masonry....
A journey from the thirteenth to the nineteenth century through the History of Science, which is also a journey through the History of the Book itself. We will approach a time of confusing frontiers between science and other modes of 'knowledge', to the blurred boundaries even between some sciences and others, to the stammering of many of the sciences that later reached their splendor,...

"Today we inaugurate a new exhibition, in which we want to attract the entire educational community, because we know that it is an added attraction to see how the history of the book has evolved," said Susana Rivas, who stressed that "this year we wanted to go beyond and focus on science, because books are sources of knowledge." "Encourage citizens in general and the educational community in particular to visit this exhibition so you can appreciate how books have also moved us the evolution of science," she said.

For his part, Jesús Romero stressed that "for this year we were looking at several options and finally decided to exhibit on science books. Thus, we have divided the sample in such a way that we can make a story from those early babblings of science in the Renaissance to the contemporary era." "Here we have all areas of knowledge, from the universe to other issues such as plants, animals, humans, medicine, and so on," said the director of the Museum of Chiclana.
