Next Thursday, july 1 at 8:00 p.m, the documentary by Ernesto de Chicote “Costus: The Documentary” will be screened as part of the activities parallel to the exhibition “Costus en Chiclana”
In 2002 Ernesto de Chicote carried out a video-documentary research on the life and work of this couple of Andalusian painters who were the fundamental engine of the most important artistic and cultural movement of the twentieth century in Spain: "LA MOVIDA MADRILEÑA".
"COSTUS, THE DOCUMENTARY" interviews family, friends, characters of "La Movida" and experts in Art History who tell us some anecdotes of JUAN Y ENRIQUE, and allow us to get closer to the lives of COSTUS, their work and their exciting love story.Among those we can mention are Alaska, Pablo Pérez-Mínguez, Lourdes Galofré (mother), Ricardo Carrero (brother), Esperanza de los Ríos, Txomin Salazar, Blanca Sánchez, Miguel Ángel Arenas "El Capi", Guillermo Pérez Villalta, Manolo Cáceres, Soledad Castillo, Eduardo Rodríguez, Ouka Lele, Ma Antonia de Castro, Joe Borzani, Jesús Ordovás, Fernando Márquez "El Zurdo", María Antonia de Castro.
"COSTUS, THE DOCUMENTARY", will be presented by its director Ernesto de Chicote who, after the same projection of 46 minutes of duration-, will talk with the audience.
In addition to this documentary, Ernesto de chicote has directed other works: Spain 1976, Madrid. La Transición Española, La Movida Madrileña, Casa COSTUS: JUAN Y ENRIQUE, Exhibitions. Analysis of his artistic work, Viaje a México, Regreso a Andalucía, El amor y la muerte.
With this commented projection, the cycle of complementary activities of "COSTUS IN CHICLANA" will start in the Museum of the city. A unique occasion.
