The mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, inaugurates this exhibition composed of watercolors on the flora present in the Public Pine Forest of La Barrosa.
 
The mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, has presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition 'Herbarivm', which can be visited until March 3 at the Museum of Chiclana. An event that has also been attended by delegates Ana Gonzalez, Roberto Palmero and Susana Rivas, and the author of the exhibition, Javier Palacios de Valle.
In this regard, indicate that months ago, Javier Palacios de Valle, based in Chiclana since the 90s, donated to the Museum a work of his where art and science come together. A work that has occupied his life in recent years and is formed by beautiful watercolors, which collect exhaustively and detailed to the preciousness of the flora present in the Public Pine Forest of La Barrosa. 
 
"Javier Palacios made us enjoy some time ago the book 'Plantas silvestres del Pinar Público de La Barrosa' and now brings us this exhibition of watercolors to the Museum of Chiclana," said the mayor, who stressed that "this sample comes to enrich the heritage and natural history of Chiclana." "Everything that sometimes we do not get to appreciate is what the eye and the hand of Javier have captured so that we can be here in this beautiful exhibition and for other works on insects and animals, we will have later, "stressed José María Román, who added that," with this work, contributes to love the territory even more".
For his part, Javier Palacios has indicated that, "when I did this work, at no time was thinking of an art exhibition, but it was part of a book." "But I thought that these plates where they could best be was in an archive of the City Council and that was when José María told me to bring it to the Museum. The surprise was when Jesus told me that it was to be exhibited," said the author of the work, who thanked the Museum for mounting the exhibition.
